How To Update Firmware on Your Wiral LITE (And Why You Should)

We introduce brand new features and add improvements to your Wiral LITE cable camera unit through firmware updates.

Updating is super simple - all you need to do is download the Wiral Updater app on your smartphone, follow the steps inside the app and you're set.

Why should you update the firmware? Quite a few reasons actually.

Update to unlock the Ping Pong Motion Setting

When you update your Wiral LITE unit to the latest firmware, you'll unlock one of the top Wiral LITE features: Ping Pong Motion.

The Ping Pong Motion setting lets your Wiral LITE move back and forth between two ends of the line automatically. Once the motion is engaged you no longer need to control the unit with the remote.

Increased top speed in Timelapse Mode

Since Wiral LITE was first released, we've received quite a few requests for a faster Timelapse Mode, and so we decided to make that happen. The top speed in Timelapse mode is now 40.0 m / 131.2 ft per hour.

How to update firmware on Wiral LITE

First, download the Wiral Updater app to your smartphone. You will use it to update the firmware both on your unit and the remote. The App is available both on for iOS and Android devices.
